Poor Workmanship Brought my 2017 Subaru Forester here because the AC was blowing hot air. I paid $2,496.13 to remove and replace the compressor, but only a couple of days later, it was blowing warm air again. When I took it back, they refused to take accountability. They claimed it was a completely "new" issue, diagnosed a leaking evaporator core, and wanted to charge me another $1,822.37 (which supposedly included a $300 discount) to tear apart my dashboard, and remove and replace the evaporator core, for a 3-day repair. I declined and took my car straight to the Subaru dealership for a second opinion. The dealership immediately found that the actual cause of the leak was coming from the compressor outlet and expansion valve. The compressor O-rings were dried out and squared, and the expansion valve was missing a required second O-ring, while the single one installed was the wrong size. The dealership fixed the butchered installation by replacing the O-rings for $770.61 (labor and parts), and my AC works perfectly now. The first shop completely misdiagnosed the issue to cover up their own poor workmanship and tried to charge me for an expensive, unnecessary remove and replace of the evaporator core behind the dashboard. Just want to give a huge shout out to Ricky and his team over here at Placentia Super Service. This is now the 3rd time taking my 93 RX7. The first time I brought it, they replaced my Clutch and Flywheel and he was super transparent with pricing and updated me with completion. 2nd time I brought it, my clutch was not engaging properly so they fixed that. 3rd and recent, I brought it in for the Power Steering pump. Ricky has been nothing but honest and I am so glad my vehicle has been serviced here with this team. My car runs smooth and great! Looking forward to getting all my major services here with this team in the future.

Incredibly overpriced. Very poor communication. They’re probably super busy and it’ll take way longer to get your car done even though they price you out super high. I’d recommend taking your car somewhere else.

Great experience for a new shop. Happy about the very detailed diagnostic. Joseph was very helpful every step of the way.

Came in for a water pump issue on my 2012 Ford edge. The agent I worked with was Joe. He was extremely understanding of my situation was able to help me diagnose the problem very quickly and started to work the same day to get it corrected. In my opinion, the folks at work at this location are tier one the best that you could possibly have. Anything I needed questions answered. They were there for me every step of the way and try to make it as painless as possible. From now on, I’ll be doing all my business with these folks. They are well worth every penny.

Took my truck in to get my transmission replaced, they bought a new one from a dealership told me it was ready to pick up a week later.. picked it up and check engine light came on after driving 4 miles, returned back to them, apparently if your service manager isn't working that day they don't work on your vehicle. I ended up telling them to tow it to the dealership which they fixed the issue. Horrible customer service especially if you deal with Ben, came off aggressive and raising his voice

I’ve written a review of this place before as I’ve been going here for about two years, and service has always been stellar - until now. I brought my car in a few months ago, and the mechanic Ken said that my oil tank was leaking but it would be covered under the extended warranty. Ken did a great job of communicating with me and giving status updates since the warranty company took a long time to essentially say the damage wasn’t bad enough yet. So when my check engine light came on a couple weeks later with an alert that I needed my oil changed, I knew it was time to do the warranty repairs. I brought the car in and this time my mechanic was Joe. I don’t know what was going on in the two weeks they had my car because Joe never called me once to update me. I called five times over the course of the two weeks and kept getting ‘Oh, he’s busy but he’ll call you back in a minute,’ and he never once did. He didn’t even call me to tell me my car was finished — I got a text two days after the promise date that it was ready, and the guy who checked me out couldn’t even tell me what they did to my car. There were extra repairs that they claim I authorized, but when the mechanic I spoke to (not Joe) told me that they were doing the additional repairs, not once was a price discussed (you can check the recorded call to verify). So when I showed up to pick up my car, I was surprised that there was a $400+ charge. If it was any more I wouldn’t have been able to afford it. To top it off, when I got my car, it was covered in dirt and cobwebs and sitting on the side of the shop like it had been there for a couple of days (why didn’t anyone call me to tell me it was done??) I just got back into town after watching my MIL die of cancer, I turned my car on for the first time after driving it back from the mechanic, and my check engine light is still on. I will not be going back here, and I regret bringing my car to this establishment in the first place.
