I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Ricky at Placentia Super Service. From the moment I brought in my 10-year-old car, Ricky was attentive, informative, and went above and beyond to make sure I understood every step of the repair process. He communicated with me throughout the entire repair, keeping me updated and making sure I was comfortable with all the decisions. What I truly appreciate is how this shop takes the time to prioritize what needs to be done, especially for an older vehicle like mine that requires ongoing maintenance. They break things down clearly, explaining each issue and why it matters, without ever pressuring unnecessary repairs. You will be hard pressed to find any business whose customer service is as client focused and operating in good faith as Placentia Super Service. Especially Paul who treats each person who crosses his path as the most important person he has dealt with that day. When I came to them, to check something my husband was told at another shop, Paul came out to the parking lot, jumped in my car, educated me on the right information, cleared the issue, cautioned me about going back to a shop that seemed inept or lacking integrity, and sent me on my way. That is why I choose to take my business here. I have been missing good old fashioned, neighborhood service. Thank you for the checklist with photos and educational videos if needed service without the pressure to get it done NOW like other shops have done. 05/02/2025 I took my car in for a loud noise in the brakes every time I braked. They said it was the bushings and charged me $2,500 and when I picked the car up it still made the same noise. The mechanic never test drove the car when done to confirm if fixed. They kept my car on 4 more separate full days saying the could not figure out what was making the loud noise??? Then on the last day they had my car when I called back 3x and they never returned my call and the service was closed and never informed me to pick it up they just kept it another day which was Saturday when I needed my car!! Now I have to take it to another mechanic and see if the original work was ever done and I will be filing a report with the BBB! I am not a complainer normally. Mechanic work is extremely expensive these days and this is throwing away good money.
